The power-up series is designed to cut hard materials with much lesser gripping power. This series had won multiple design awards in 1980s and 1990s as it supports women and the elderly effectively. Though the size of standard pliers, the power-up series generates double the cutting power and as such it is used to cut hard wires such as piano wires.
